Good reads – dog behavior-related

The Paws Abilities blog. I have only just found this excellent blog.
Denver Dog Behavior blog by Michael Curran.
- Part 1: Anatomy of a Typical Dog Bite – re: Denver Dog Bite analysis
- Part 2: Stress and Fear
- There will be a Part 3.
A very interesting article about dog’s eyes and how different breeds see differently. (via Dr Sophia Yin’s facebook)
Meanwhile, I am recovering from a cat attack. Yep, an extremely fearful aggressive CAT that lunged at Boogie and me. I will spare everyone the most recent photo of my leg which is covered in huge swollen bruises. I am also on antibiotics and still very very relieved that Boogie was not seriously harmed.
I love this photo of Boogie, taken a few days ago.

Yikes! So sorry to hear about your cat attack. Cat’s can be very scary when they are in attack mode 😦 I’m glad Boggie wasn’t harmed – hope you are on the mend!

Me too! I am so glad Boogie is OK. When I first saw blood dripping right next to his eye you can imagine how I felt…
Cats!!! aargh.

Cats can be MEAN!
Take care of that wound, they are really prone to infection. Hope you’re better soon!
Loved your links

Thanks, Teresa. Everyone keeps telling me that I could die. 🙂 I hope I will be OK after these antibiotics. I have a follow-up visit with the Doctor in 2 days.

Thanks for the shout-out!
So sorry to hear about the cat attack. There’s a reason I only do dog-aggression cases. At least aggressive dogs aren’t pointy in quite so many places. Angry cats are downright terrifying. I’m so glad Boogie’s okay!

I love your blog, Sara! I got the worst of the cat attack but I’m so glad Boogie is OK.. his vet bills would probably cost 10 times more than my medical bills…

Yikes! So glad it all worked out as well as it did. Sounds scary!
I love that picture, too. And I noticed that you walk Boogie using two points of contact–that’s something we do a lot of in Tellington Touch, but I rarely see it anywhere else. I hope it’s working for you and Boogie; it sure looks as if it is!
TGIF!

🙂 I’m using a Freedom Harness with Boogie and it’s working better than other harness/leashes! Earlier blog post: https://boogiebt.wordpress.com/2011/09/21/freedom-no-pull-harness-day-3/
T-Touch is something I’d love to learn about! I need to find someone in Los Angeles…

Lots of TTouch folks love the Freedom Harness! I’m new to it, myself–I didn’t know much about it until last week, in fact. If you go to my website, petkido.com, you’ll find a link (on the links page) to the TTouch Guild website. Thjere, you can find a TTouch practitioner in LA.
Thanks for following my blog!

Thanks, Betsy. I have googled for a T-Touch practitioner in LA before. And I just searched again via guild site. It seems that there aren’t any T-Touch people in LA, CA 😦
